When Insight Comes in a Dream aims to make music be seen and movements be heard. Written for percussionists and visual movement, all 4 movements are carefully orchestrated to synthesize absence and presence of sound and visual movement.

The 1st movement showcases the absence of sound which begins with a blank score projected to a screen with a moving tracking in silence.

The silence develops into the 2nd movement - absence and presence of sound - in which percussionists play certain “empty note heads” in movements without producing the the sound.

In the 3rd movement - absence and presence of visual movement - begins with Coco Karol painted in white performing with a box, which is weaved together with sound. The wooden box corresponds to the visual presence of the blank measure boxes from the 1st movement, while the woodblock represents the absence and presence of sound from the 2nd movement.

The final movement is a palindrome from of the 1st movement: The absence of sound, represented by the blank measure boxes in the 1st movement, is mirrored with the absence of movement as only the wooden box is left on stage. The wooden box is revealed and a presence is seen, felt, heard.
